BRIGANDS OF THE SALTY DOG
I'll Keep A Light Burning For You
BRIGANDS OF THE SALTY DOG is a lively classic-style melodrama for family fun. The story takes place in an impoverished tavern/lighthouse. The villain arrives intending to acquire the key to the tower light so he can extinguish it, and cause a ship to founder on a reef where his henchmen will kill the crew and steal the valuable cargo. The hero, a Coastguard Ensign, prevents the crime. The tavern is saved from closing by a comically dimwitted writer named Dicky Dana, who sells the rights to his novel--TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST.The hero and heroine fall in love. Everyone sings a lot.
